1347 Systematic review of the effectiveness of advocacy interventions for adult victims of domestic violence within an emergency department setting

Aims, Objectives and Background Advocacy interventions for survivors of domestic violence is well established supported by evidence in some community healthcare settings. Survivors identified emergency departments have important differences it not clear whether can be applied to this population. Therefore, we conducted an inclusive systematic review controlled studies evaluating the effectiveness advocacy workers adult departments. Method Design We included that reported primary research supporting abuse excluded screening trials, increase identification staff, on children weren’t English. The search was done via following online databases from their start dates till February 2022: PubMed/MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, CINAHL/Ebsco, EMBASE PsycINFO. anticipated there would few high quality double-blinded RCTs aimed include before after studies. Abstract 1347 Table 1 Results Conclusion only found one randomised control trial met our inclusion criteria, several observational which were judged as too weak inclusion. a non-peer reviewed study part dissertation UK consultant, unpublished carried out PhD thesis. Future should define meaning outcomes trials referral justified. who present benefit workers.
